David Kuit Racing Stables |
|
I have been a dedicated horseman for many years.
I finished my apprenticeship as a jockey at the end of 1981 and am now 49. I was a jockey for 26 years.
I have gained valuable experience with the stables that I have worked for and attribute my physical and mental wellbeing to the fact that I believe in hard work to keep myself and my horses fit. I am also fortunate enough to do my own riding work so I know that a jockey and apprentice will never be able to pull the wool over my eyes.
I held a jockey/stable employee license for several years and worked for trainers such as: R. Sage R. Howe P. Shaw C. Laird R. Unsworth S. Pettigrew I also ran a spelling farm for S. Pettigrew for 2 years
Then I became an assistant trainer to: C. Laird and D. Campbell
I was fortunate enough to learn from Mr. D. Campbell on the breeding side when I was in his employ, which a lot of assistants never know or learn about that side of racing. What it takes from when the horse is born, until it reaches the racecourse and wins.
I finally got my trainers license March 2009 and have been training since.
I am here to achieve the top for my owners and myself.
I believe in having a reasonably small yard so that I can dedicate proper amount of time to the horses and the owners. |
